The Kingdom Project has added a very significant element to our community development approach...24/7 Prayer and Worship! Years ago the Moravians had purposed in their hearts to have prayer go before their work! This posture of prayer proved to be effective resulting in the most effective missionary campaign in all of christendom, a 100 year 24/7 Prayer movement by the Moravians. This prayer posture enabled the Moravians to go where others were not able to because God released the keys to get into those areas. The Lord would also give them insight into the strongholds in the regions they went into. The Moravian are known for a Christian school with the Cherokee Indians called Old Spring Place in Northern Georgia. Later at the end of the Trail of Tears they would create a new school called New Spring Place.
We believe to deal with the principalities and strongholds that cause high crime areas. Prayer is absolutely essential! Our prayer posture is focused on creating a culture of the kingdom of God that is opposed to selfish ambition that causes division.
This could be the most critical component of the whole kingdom project because at the end of the day, we must have the commanded blessing of God to shift the spiritual atmosphere in these regions!
PRAYER FOCUS:
STEP 1
Personal Repentance to bring us in alignment with the Lord!
STEP 2
Corporate Repentance - bringing Psalms 133 unity, uprooting the principalities and powers through the commanded blessing of God!
STEP 3
Community Prayer Focus - Praying for projects, disciple making movements and neighborhood schools in our brothers/sisters areas first. We must prefer others above our self! Selfish ambition must be crucified. If we want to see a culture that will attain the commanded blessing of God needed to heal each region.
How Can I Be
a Part?
Our goal is to have 3 churches to cover each of the 11 highest crime areas in Baton Rouge with prayer. This will in turn create a 24/7 Prayer Canopy and the Armor of Light over our city!
This prayer focus is designed to give us a heart for the regions we are going into, as well as a heart for each other, cultivating a culture of unity. As we seek the face of God, He will give us key strategies to bind the strong man in each region!

ECCLESIASTES 4:9-12 - Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone?
Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
